The Aim of the Aquarium du Golfe

Worried by to the disappearance of some aquatic species of the Golfe du Morbihan (Gulf of Morbihan), the Aquarium has decided to put them on display for you so that everyone can take part in their safeguard. By learning to take care of our environment we are helping to maintain the natural balance of sea life in the Golfe du Morbihan, which is now under threat.

The seahorse lives right beside us!

The charm of this small fish, is that the male "gives birth" to hundreds of little babies, which grow in a pouch located on his belly.

 What is the "morgate"?

Those "bunches of black grapes" that you find on the beaches of the Gulf during the summer are cuttlefish eggs. This animal is known as a "Morgate" in the Morbihan area.
